This unique drawing by Keith Haring in silver marker features the iconic “Triple-Eyed Face” motif, applied directly to the blue linen front cover of the limited deluxe catalogue.
The work is signed and dated in silver marker by Keith Haring.
Double-signed example: the accompanying catalogue is also signed by William S. Burroughs on the original white paper dust jacket.
This exceptional collaboration between street art icon Keith Haring and Beat Generation legend William S. Burroughs brings their explosive and visionary dialogue to life.
The Apocalypse project represents a key intersection between 20th-century avant-garde art and literature. Originally conceived as a portfolio of ten large-format silkscreens, Haring’s expressive lines visualize the raw cut-up texts of Burroughs. The project reflects the turbulent spirit of the late 1980s, addressing themes such as the AIDS crisis, religion, and social unrest. Within this catalogue, a visionary universe unfolds, filled with symbolism, spirits, and demons.
In his introduction, William S. Burroughs describes Apocalypse not as an ending, but as a form of liberation. According to him, art should not remain behind glass or confined to a pedestal—it must break out of its frame, just as Keith Haring’s graffiti reclaimed the subway walls.
The Apocalypse (Deluxe Exhibition Catalogue) includes a complete overview of all 10 works with high-quality reproductions, each paired with Burroughs’ corresponding texts. It also contains rare photographic documentation of both artists working together, offering insight into their creative process.
