Set of 5 signed Prägedruck (Embossings) from the rare artist book " Wie weiß ist wissen die Weisen - Hommage à Uecker " by Eugen Gomringer, 1975 :
Four original embossing with round embossing
One original embossing with nail-embossing
All works signed in pencil by Günther Uecker
The embossing with nail-embossing is the double-folded cover, also signed.
The four works with round embossing form a series of images in which the high-density round embossing on sheet I evaporate into a fleeting small number on sheet IV

Günther Uecker (1930 - 2024) was a seminal German artist associated with the ZERO movement. He gained international recognition for his signature nail reliefs and his meditative, monochromatic compositions. Ueckers works challenge the boundaries between painting and sculpture, light and shadow, presence and absence. His art is held in major collections, including MoMA New York, the Tate Modern in London, and the Centre Pompidou in Paris.
