This striking lithograph features a powerful circular composition created through repeated impressions of a paintbrush, arranged around a central violin motif. The rhythmic repetition and layered structure exemplify Arman’s iconic concept of accumulation, a core principle in his work in which everyday objects are multiplied, reorganized, and transformed into visual symbols of time, movement, and memory. The violin form introduces a musical dimension, reinforcing ideas of cadence, resonance, and cultural reference.

The work is hand-signed in pencil by Arman at the lower right and numbered in pencil at the lower left.

Published by Reto a Marca, Leggia, and printed by Chave, Vence, this print reflects the high technical and artistic standards of Arman’s graphic production.

Sheet size approx : 81 × 60 cm

Arman (Armand Pierre Fernandez, 1928–2005) was a leading figure of the Nouveau Réalisme movement and one of the most influential artists of postwar European art. He is best known for his Accumulations, Assemblages, and Poubelles, in which everyday objects such as tools, musical instruments, and consumer goods are repeated, fragmented, or encased to explore themes of mass production, consumption, and modern society.

Arman’s graphic works translate these ideas into print, using bold compositions and layered imagery to echo his sculptural practice. His prints are highly regarded for their strong visual impact and their direct connection to his iconic three-dimensional works.
