2003.

Hand signed by Panamarenko, in the center, under the image. A unique exhibition poster for the extensive retrospective  “ Panamarenko – alles leren alles kunnen alles doen ”  (Learn everything, be capable of everything, do everything) , held in Antwerp in 2003.
Sheet size : 59,3 x 42,0. Several exhibitions showcased the groundbreaking work of Panamarenko, one of Belgium’s most visionary contemporary artists, known for his futuristic flying machines, mechanical sculptures, and conceptual inventions.

The poster features one of Panamarenko’s signature sketches, blending technical precision with playful, surrealist elements. The exhibition presented a wide range of his works, from original sculptures and drawings to his legendary multiples produced between 1966 and 2003. The retrospective highlighted his ability to turn dreams of flight and movement into intricate, almost functional machines, blurring the boundaries between art, aerodynamics, and science fiction.

Panamarenko (1940-2019) was a truly unique figure in contemporary art. Unlike traditional sculptors, he saw himself as an inventor, creating complex flying objects, submarines, and vehicles that combined artistic vision with scientific curiosity. His works, often inspired by birds, insects, and futuristic engineering, remain some of the most distinctive and innovative contributions to modern art.
