1996
This original exhibition screen print was created by Pierre Alechinsky for the show Constante Bleue at the Baukunst Galerie in Cologne, 1996. Alechinsky, a key figure of the CoBrA movement, combined abstract and calligraphic elements with bold color to create a highly distinctive style.
This particular poster is more than a print: it is a personal dedication, signed and inscribed to Karl-Heinz Fleitmann by the artist himself.
Hand-signed and inscribed in pencil: “Pour Karl-Heinz Fleitmann, cordialement Alechinsky, 7.2.96”
The work combines hand-drawn graphic lines with splashes of cyan and black, surrounding a central typographic field that announces the exhibition details. Alechinsky’s signature curved forms — including organic shapes, eyes, and abstract stairs — evoke movement and transformation. The use of turquoise and ink lines contrasts vividly with the cream background and the red and blue title text.
Professionally framed, in bespoke white wooden frame, hand-made, with PLEXIGLAS Optical HC, scratch-resistant and UV-protected. Framed approx. 60 x 45 cm
