This special edition by Robert Indiana showcases his iconic LOVE design in a striking composition of vivid red, green, and blue.

Hand-signed in pencil by the artist on the reverse, visible through the Plexiglas® back.
The reverse also bears the artist’s handwritten word “LOVE”, adding a rare personal touch.

The work comes directly from the Estate of Robert Indiana, ensuring impeccable authenticity and provenance.

Instantly recognizable by its stacked typography - with the tilted "O" - Indianas LOVE became a universal symbol of peace and affection, transcending its origins in the 1960s counterculture to become a timeless icon of contemporary art.

The work is professionally framed to museum standards, floating mount on linen, within a white acid-free passe-partout, in a custom, handcrafted wooden frame with Plexiglas® Optical HC, offering UV protection, scratch resistance, and minimal reflection.
Size framed : approx. 50 × 50 cm

Robert Indiana (1928 - 2018) was a leading figure in American pop art. His work is rooted in bold language and graphic simplicity, often combining words, numbers, and vivid colors. Indianas LOVE image, first created in 1964, became a cultural phenomenon and was later adapted into sculptures and stamps. Despite or because of its visual simplicity, Indianas work reflects complex themes of American identity, politics, and personal philosophy.

His art is featured in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), the Whitney Museum of American Art, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and the Tate Modern in London, among others
