This signed exhibition poster was created for Thomas Ruff’s solo exhibition Nudes und Maschinen at Kestner Gesellschaft in Hannover, 2004. Hand signed by Thomas Ruff  in black felt-pen on the image, lower right. Sheet size : 84 x 59,4 cm.

The exhibition explored Ruff’s fascination with digital manipulation, mechanical processes, and erotic imagery, showcasing his innovative approach to contemporary photography.The poster features one of Ruff’s signature blurred nudes, a hallmark of his Nudes series. By digitally distorting found images from adult websites, Ruff creates ethereal, almost painterly compositions that challenge the viewer’s perception of intimacy, voyeurism, and the digital age. 

Thomas Ruff (b. 1958) is one of the most influential photographers of his generation, renowned for his conceptual approach to photography.
