Unique Proof. Original Signed Screen print of One of Christo’s Earliest Architectural Projects. It presents a conceptual drawing for Christo’s iconic Store Front Project from 1968 — a pivotal work in which he isolated and transformed elements of urban architecture, particularly storefronts, into mysterious, closed-off installations.

The work is hand-signed and dated in pencil in the lower right corner: “Christo 1968.”

The composition depicts an empty interior rendered in subtle perspective lines, devoid of any connection to the outside world — a recurring theme in Christo’s early work. The simplicity of the lines and the stark use of negative space emphasize the alienation and anonymity of the urban environment.

Christo (1935–2020), born in Bulgaria and later active in Paris and New York, rose to international fame through his monumental environmental installations, often realized in collaboration with his partner Jeanne-Claude. Their globally recognized projects include The Pont Neuf Wrapped, The Gates, and L’Arc de Triomphe, Wrapped. Early works like the Store Front Project represent a critical phase in Christo’s artistic evolution, revealing his deep engagement with space, structure, and the transformation of the familiar into the monumental.
