This Exhibition poster, hand-signed, was designed by Frank Stella for a major retrospective at Kunstmuseum Wolfsburg, 2013. Hand signed by Frank Stella in blue felt-pen, lower left. Sheet size : 84 x 59,4 cm.  

The exhibition presented a comprehensive overview of Stella’s artistic evolution, spanning from his iconic minimalist Black Paintings to his later, more dynamic three-dimensional sculptural works.
The striking geometric abstraction featured on the poster is characteristic of Stella’s later period, where he pushed the boundaries of painting into sculptural reliefs. The composition, filled with bold colors, layered elements, and optical dynamism, exemplifies his ability to blur the lines between painting, sculpture, and architecture. 

Frank Stella (1936 - 2024) is one of the most influential figures in post-war American art, known for his Minimalism, Hard-Edge Painting, and later Baroque-inspired reliefs. His works are housed in major institutions such as MoMA, the Whitney Museum, the Tate Modern, and the Centre Pompidou. Stella’s groundbreaking career has continuously reshaped contemporary abstraction, cementing his legacy as a visionary artist.
