1986

This unique original artwork by Keith Haring, features a classic Haring figure drawn in black marker over a gelatin silver black-and-white photograph. The composition shows a large, playfully expressive cartoon-like cat stretching across the two persons (see below) on the photo

The work is signed K. Haring in black marker at the bottom right, and is dated 86 at the bottom left, also in black marker

The photograph captures Pablo van Dijk and Pandora Tabatabai Asbaghi, founders of Galerie / Publisher Bébert in Rotterdam, a pivotal platform for avant-garde art in the 1980s. Keith Haring had a close and warm relationship with the couple and frequently visited the Netherlands. In collaboration with Galerie Bébert, Haring produced several projects, including the well-known 'Bad Boys' portfolio (1986)

Professionally framed, mounted floating in a custom-made, acid-free passe-partout and presented in a bespoke, handcrafted black wooden frame, with PLEXIGLAS® Optical HC, scratch-resistant, UV-protective, and significantly lighter than traditional glass.
Size framed : approx. 60 × 80 cm
