This expressive and rare lithograph was created by Belgian artist Pierre Alechinsky, a founding member of the avant-garde Cobra movement.

Signed by the artist in pencil lower right
Titled in the center and numbered lower left
Sheet size : approx. 45 x 65 cm

The image dates originally from 1950 and was reissued in 1979 as part of the portfolio Expériences sans l’expérience, a suite of 10 lithographs revisiting early Cobra-era motifs.

The composition is a dynamic interplay of primitive forms and spontaneous linework, capturing Alechinsky’s distinctive fusion of calligraphy, abstract gesture, and surreal symbolism. Printed on fine wove paper, this work reflects the energy and innovation of post-war European art.
